This first article from MSN.com is talking about segregation in the United States. There are many different sections within this article. One of the sections within this article deals with segregation in the south. It talks about many of the challenges Maya Angelou had to deal with. It mentions that African Americans had very limited rights. This aticle also describes the violence that was occuring in the south such as lynching. I thought this was a very good aticle because it deals with many different types of segregation.
The next article I read was also dealing with segregation, but it dealt with segregation all over the world. This article first describes what segregation means and where the word segregaton oringinated from, its a latin word. This was a good article because it also talks about segregation in Russia and South Africa. It even brings you back to the caste system in India, which is probably the oldest form of segregation ever.
These were good articles because they gave good information. These two artcles dicussed many different types of segregation, not only in the United States but all around the world. They told you everything you need to know about segregation. From what it means, to where the word originated from, to when it was occuring in the south. These are very informative articles.
